BMW Tie Rod Lock Plate (E36) - Genuine BMW 32111136526

One time use only, sold without 3mm spacer

This lock washer secures the inner tie rod to the steering rack. Per BMW this securing plate should be replaced whenever the inner tie rod assembly is removed from the steering rack.

Note: Please determine which tie rod lock plate your BMW currently has equipped before ordering a replacement.

Different Size?

So when you get to your Tie Rods, the inner tie rod nut is locked in place with this washer which gets bent over the nut so it can't work it's way loose. The one that came out of my car had a thicker part to the washer, this replacement didn't have that part. Hard to explain but I ended up re using my old ones and just bent them back as I didn't want to mess up the alignment. The washer from the car was maybe 2mm thicker.
